It is a subject we don’t want to discuss. But so many people are being diagnosed with cancer these days that we are being forced to face the ugly truth. Quite a few people close to me in the last six months have been in this predicament. Last week, a co-worker’s situation, really hit home for me. After having a double mastectomy performed, my friend was told that she would need chemotherapy and radiation. I was destroyed – as if I had just received this horrible sentence myself. That got me thinking……………….what would I do? Chemotherapy is poison and the whole idea of putting poison in my body is the opposite of the way I live my life.
I immediately called my go-to-alternative Guru who answers all my health questions. He is ALWAYS right in an eerie sort of way. I asked him that same question and he said that he would first try to get his body into a highly alkaline state (the opposite of acidic), add some quality supplements and eliminate all stress in his life. Cancer cells have a hard time surviving in an alkaline state. After a few months, if his values did not improve and he still needed chemotherapy, he said would do it in conjunction with insulin therapy. It seemed like an interesting proposition so I decided to research this further.
As you read on, please keep a few things in mind: this is a highly controversial method with the medical institutions fighting against the alternative care facilities that administer this treatment. It is extremely expensive because the alternative portion is NOT covered by insurance. Granted it is not for everyone, but it is good to know that something is out there and available if you feel this treatment is for you or your loved ones. I know now that if I were faced with this problem, I would definitely consider this treatment and investigate to see if it would be the right path for me. That being said, I would like to share with you some background on how this treatment is administered………….

Many people are afraid of developing cancer because they know the most common treatment, chemotherapy, can be very painful and draining. Chemotherapy has helped many people, but it also has many negative side effects. If you are faced with the decision to undergo chemotherapy, you might want to look at some of the alternatives that are available. Many people are interested in another form of treatment because prolonged exposure to chemo can cause organ failure, and even death.
IPT, or insulin potentiation therapy, is one of the more common chemotherapy alternatives. IPT does involve chemo. The exposure levels, however, are greatly reduced from the traditional treatment. In fact, cancer patients are exposed to less than 10 percent of what they would experience through traditional chemotherapy. This means that a patient doesn't have to choose between two evils. There is no, 'damned if you do, damned if you don't,' mentality. IPT allows patients the opportunity to have a safe, but effective treatment.
So what is IPT? You have probably heard of insulin before. Insulin is used to treat people who have diabetes. Insulin is actually made in the human body by the pancreas. It helps the cells to communicate to each other. Diabetics do not have enough insulin produced naturally and they need to get extra insulin injected into the body for their cells to work properly.
So how does this help a cancer patient? One of the jobs of insulin is to open the door of a cell to allow things like sugar into the cell. This is why it is important for diabetics. The cells in a diabetic have forgotten how to allow sugar in. Cancer cells also feed on sugar. When patients use IPT, they are allowing the insulin to knock on the door of a cancer cell. When the cell opens itself up expecting sugar, they are given chemo instead. This makes chemotherapy much more effective and, because it is much more effective, you do not have to use as much of it. This has many benefits for the cancer patient. The less chemo that you use, the less of the side effects that you will experience. This means that you do not have to worry about losing your hair or other aspects that are often associated with chemotherapy.
If you are interested in chemotherapy alternatives, make sure that you do some research. There is plenty of information available that deals with cancer, its causes and its treatments. You should also ask your doctor about IPT and if it is an option for you.
