Go Red
For Women® is the American Heart Association’s national
movement to raise awareness about heart disease and
stroke in women and February is Go Red Month! All women and
men stand united this month (and all year for that matter) to fight heart
disease. We know all too well that heart disease shows up differently in women
than in men when it comes to symptoms and course of action of the disease.
Statistics show that heart disease kills more women than cancer. It remains the number one killer of women and 55% of
women are unaware of their risk.
If you find it within your generous heart to donate and
support this worthy cause, I will share the link to my friend and colleague,
Tifphani White-King’s page below.
Tifphani is a Board Member of the American Heart Association's Go Red
For Women Executive Leadership Team NYC.
She is raising funds to support heart health and cardiac care research.
I am proud of Tifpani’s involvement with such a worthy cause and I urge you to
give what you can afford to help this fundraiser. Funds raised by Go Red
support educational programs to increase women’s awareness about their risk for
heart disease and stroke as well as critical research to discover scientific
knowledge about cardiovascular health.
Do not forget to wear your red this Friday (February 2nd) to show
your support. #WearRedDay
A million thanks in advance!
